Comics Masters

Game rules

One account per person

Comics Masters is free and everyone gets the same packs. To keep it that way, there is only one rule: you play a single account, your own. Everything else on this page follows from it. If something blocks you while you are playing normally, write to us on Discord.

Can I have two accounts?

No, even if they never trade. A second account means twice the free packs and two spots on the leaderboard.

Getting someone to create an account so they can give you their cards is the same thing: friends who sign up, open their ten packs, hand you their best cards and never come back are just extra packs for you.

If you opened two accounts by mistake, with two email addresses for example, write to us on Discord: the two collections can be merged into the one you keep.

Several of us play at home

That’s allowed, each on their own account and their own device. Two accounts on the same home connection can trade with each other once each one has played for 3 days, gifts included.

Two things stay closed between you: bidding on each other’s sales, and referring each other.

The trap: signing in to your account on the other person’s computer or phone. The game then sees two accounts in the same browser and treats them as one player for 30 days. If that happens, write to us on Discord with both usernames.

Trades

You can offer any card for any other, even your only copy, and the other player accepts or declines. A trade can include up to 5 cards on each side, for example several more common cards for a rarer one: what counts is the total value on each side. Giving a card to a friend is allowed. Emptying one account into another is not.

When your offer is worth less than what you ask for, you can top it up with coins: at most the value gap, and only if the rarest card you ask for is at most one rarity above yours (a rare plus coins for a super rare, not a common for a legendary). Coins only move once the trade is accepted.

If the game refuses a trade, it is for one of these reasons:

  • You used the same browser

Two accounts opened in the same browser in the last 30 days are treated as one player. Nothing goes between them, and a VPN changes nothing.

  • You are on the same connection and one of you is new

Between two accounts on the same home internet box, each one must have played for 3 days. After that, trades go through normally.

  • The giving account is less than 48 hours old

During its first two days, an account cannot give away cards for others worth much less. A trade of comparable value goes through from day one.

  • One of you has hit the weekly cap

Over 7 days, you cannot give much more value than you receive, nor receive much more than you give. When all the cards are of the same rarity, the value gap only counts for half. A trade that rebalances always goes through. Coins added to an offer count as value given.

  • A trade between you was already reversed

In that case the two accounts can no longer trade with each other or bid on each other’s sales.

Auctions

You set your starting price, from the card’s sell value upward (it is shown on its page). You cannot bid on a sale from an account that shares your connection or your device.

Teaming up to move a card or coins from one account to another through a sale is forbidden, just like with a trade.

Referrals

Your referred friend is confirmed, and you each get 3 boosters, when all of this is true:

  1. 1.They open your link before their first booster.
  2. 2.Their email address is verified (a Google account already is).
  3. 3.They open 10 boosters, free ones count.
  4. 4.They come back to play on a day other than the one they signed up.
  5. 5.They have never signed in from your connection or your device.
  6. 6.They don’t play in the same browser as another of your referred friends: several accounts opened in the same place count as one.

You can invite a friend who doesn’t really plan to play, that is not forbidden. But if they don’t come back another day, the referral is never confirmed and earns nothing.

At most 10 referred friends are confirmed per day, the next ones go through the following day. The rewards are detailed on the referral page.

My trade or referral was reversed

The checks don’t stop when the trade happens: the game can go back on what has already been done.

A trade is reversed when a valuable card went for almost nothing and the account that gave it never came back to play and only traded with you, or when your two accounts shared a device. Every card then goes back to its original account.

Several referred friends who play together from a different connection than their referrer, trade almost only with them and hand over their cards are feeding the referrer’s account: their gifts are reversed. Someone close to you under the same roof who gives you gifts is not affected.

A referral is revoked when the referred friend shared your device or the browser of another of your referred friends, or gave you their cards in a reversed trade. The tiers and the badge earned through them are removed.

In both cases you get a notification, and the trade shows up as "Reversed by the game" in your history. Trades of comparable value are never touched.

Clearing your trade history or your finished offers on listings removes them for you only: the other player keeps theirs, and those trades still count toward the weekly limit and these checks.

Usernames

An offensive username, or one that impersonates the game team, is replaced with a neutral name. You can choose another one from your profile.

I think it’s a mistake

It happens: the game only sees connections and devices, not people. Write to us on Discord with your username, every case is reviewed by hand and a reversal can be undone.
